Paezlč Harris has held a Senior Paralegal position with Cox Communications, Inc. since 2004 where she is responsible for litigation, civil investigative demands, disputes, small claims, and marketing review. After graduating from ECPI College of Technology in Virginia, Paezle´ moved to Atlanta in 1996 to join and remain with McCalla, Raymer, Padrick, Cobb, Nichols, and Clark LLC for seven years before joining Cox. Paezlč is a Certified Mediator and Georgia Neutral who obtained her Paralegal Certificate from the University of Georgia (UGA) and her Advanced Paralegal Certificate from the University of South Carolina (USC.) Paezlč became a PACE Registered Paralegal in 2007 and a NALA Certified Paralegal in 2008. She is currently pursuing a BS in Business Administration (Legal Studies Major) at Adams State College. Paezle´ has been on the Board for the Georgia Association of Paralegals (GAP) since 2006.

Ann Jackson earned a B.S. in Industrial Management from Georgia Institute of Technology. She returned to school in 2001, earning her paralegal certificate with honors from the National Center for Paralegal Training (NCPT), an ABA-approved program. The same year, she began her career at an Atlanta law firm in the real estate section, specializing in homeowner and condominium association law (a combination of litigation and creditor’s rights work). Most recently, she has worked in-house at two publicly traded companies in many areas of corporate law and compliance, as well as intellectual property and contract law. She was awarded the GAP 2005 PACE Scholarship and became a PACE Registered Paralegal in March 2006. She is currently in her second year on the Board as Treasurer.

Karen Prouty is a paralegal with the law firm of Fellows LaBriola LLP. She mainly works on complex litigation cases. She also handles paralegal work on trademark and copyright matters and securities mediation and arbitration matters. She is a 1998 graduate of the University of Georgia. She completed her studies at the University of Georgia with Bachelors of Arts degrees in English and German. In September 2001, she received her paralegal certification with honors from the National Center for Paralegal Training, which is accredited by the ABA. She became a PACE Registered Paralegal in December 2003. Karen has been a member of GAP and the National Federation of Paralegal Associations since 2001, and was the recipient of the GAP’s 2003 PACE Scholarship.

Alice Jordan Chow is a franchise paralegal at Arby’s Restaurant Group, Inc. She writes and registers franchise disclosure documents domestically and internationally, drafts assorted franchise legal documents, oversees franchisee compliance with license agreements, advises franchise relationship managers on legal compliance issues, assists with litigation matters, and more. She negotiated franchise agreements, comfort letters, and administered franchise defaults while previously at Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. Her focus is on franchise legal and operational compliance issues at hospitality companies. A 2000 magna cum laude graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on Management Information Systems, she earned a certificate in paralegal studies from Georgia Perimeter College/The Center for Legal Studies in 2004, and is currently pursuing her Master’s of Science degree in Nutrition and Food Science, specialization in Hotel and Restaurant Management at Auburn University (2/3 finished). Alice joined GAP in 2004, served on the Board as the Newsletter Editor (now Director of Communications) in 2005 and 2006, and was awarded the 2007 PACE scholarship. She passed PACE and became a PACE Registered Paralegal in April 2008.

Andrea P. Hart is the paralegal for the Gwinnett County Law Department, where she is responsible for handling litigation and claims matters in the areas of zoning litigation, condemnations, employment matters, civil rights, property damage and breach of contract cases as well as other matters as they arise. Andrea provides extensive case law and statutory research, evidence analysis, and cross-jurisdictional research in the areas of local ordinances and quality of life projects. Andrea received a Bachelor of Music degree from Oberlin Conservatory, in Oberlin, OH. After moving to the Atlanta area in the late 1990s, Andrea received her paralegal certificate from the National Center for Paralegal Training, (NCPT), in 2001. In 2005, Andrea received a PACE Scholarship, and became a Registered Paralegal in February of 2006.

Libby Martinez, RP, received her B.S. in Paralegal Science graduating magna cum laude from Sullivan University, an ABA approved school in Lexington, Kentucky. She began her career working at law firms in Lexington, Kentucky prior to moving to Atlanta in 2000 where she has since worked in private law firms and the staff counsel office of large corporations. Libby has over 12 years of experience in litigation, specializing in insurance defense, wrongful death, family law, and workers’ compensation. Libby is a senior paralegal for Daniel W. Mitnick & Associates, P.C. and manages the firm’s family law division. Libby is a member of the Georgia Association of Paralegals where she formerly served as Student Growth Coordinator and Director of Membership. Libby lives in Cumming, Georgia with her husband, David, and their daughter, Olivia.
