Kevin O. Fogle is a paralegal in the Corporate and International practice groups of the Atlanta office of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP. At Nelson Mullins, Kevin assists in providing legal services to both foreign and domestic companies transacting business in the United States and abroad. Kevin works closely with attorneys in assisting foreign companies with inbound foreign investments through mergers and acquisitions and setting up U.S. subsidiaries for foreign parent companies. Kevin also handles general corporate matters, assists in the protection of intellectual property, and works on matters involving immigration and securities. He is a contributing writer for GAP's publication, The Paragraph, and the National Federation for Paralegal Association's publication, The National Paralegal Reporter. Kevin is a graduate of the National Center for Paralegal Training's ABA-approved paralegal studies program. In addition, Kevin holds a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Behavioral Sciences, Social Sciences, and Business.

Paezlč Harris has been a paralegal since 1996 and has held a Senior Paralegal position with Cox Communications, Inc. since 2004 where she is responsible for litigation, civil investigative demands, disputes, small claims, and attorney general complaints. Paezlč is a Certified Mediator and Georgia Neutral who obtained her Paralegal Certificate from the University of Georgia (UGA) and her Advanced Paralegal Certificate from the University of South Carolina (USC) through the Center for Legal Studies. Paezlč became a PACE Registered Paralegal in 2007 and a NALA Certified Paralegal in 2008. Paezlč was the recipient of the NFPA PACE Ambassador Award in 2008 and has held a board member position with the Georgia Association of Paralegals (GAP) for the last three years. She is currently finishing a BS in Business Administration (Legal Studies Major) at Adams State College and plans to begin the Masters Degree Program in Paralegal Studies at George Washington University immediately thereafter.

Karen Prouty is a paralegal with the law firm of Fellows LaBriola LLP. She mainly works on complex litigation cases. She also handles paralegal work on trademark and copyright matters and securities mediation and arbitration matters. She is a 1998 graduate of the University of Georgia. She completed her studies at the University of Georgia with Bachelors of Arts degrees in English and German. In September 2001, she received her paralegal certification with honors from the National Center for Paralegal Training, which is accredited by the ABA. She became a PACE Registered Paralegal in December 2003. Karen has been a member of GAP and the National Federation of Paralegal Associations since 2001, and was the recipient of the GAP’s 2003 PACE Scholarship.

Tenitra Adams attended Buffalo State College majoring in Criminal Justice. Tenitra received her Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies from Bryant & Stratton College (an ABA approved school) in 2000.

Tenitra has been working as a paralegal for 10 years. She started her career working in Family Law, Probate, and Real Estate working for a small boutique law firm in New York and then broadened her horizons in 2003 working for a medium size law firm in Litigation, Estates & Trusts and Immigration Law.

Tenitra is currently a Litigation Paralegal with RobbinsLaw LLC in downtown Atlanta.

Michael Misenheimer holds a paralegal certificate as well as a B.A. in Psychology. In addition, he is in the final stages of completing his M.A. Degree in Conflict Resolution and is a registered neutral with the State of Georgia’s Office of Dispute Resolution. Michael began his paralegal career working for a solo practitioner whose specialty was consumer bankruptcy. Upon leaving the consumer bankruptcy firm, he went to work for a Chapter 7 Trustee. In 2003, he joined Kenney, Solomon & Medina, where he was a paralegal focusing in creditors’ rights issues in Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. In 2005, he joined the firm of Sicay-Perrow, Knighten & Bohan, P.C. returning to the creditors’ rights arena, including consumer bankruptcy litigation, foreclosures and suits. Mr. Misenheimer is the President of Misenheimer Mediation Solutions. He is also currently the NFPA Pro Bono Co-Coordinator.

Lakeila Meadows is a paralegal in the Environmental Law section of the Georgia Attorney General’s Office (“AG’s Office”). At the AG’s office, Lakeila is responsible for providing assistance to attorneys in a wide variety of environmental matters including regulatory, compliance, enforcement and litigation. She works closely with attorneys in regulating public and private facilities in the areas of air quality, water quality, hazardous wastes, solid wastes, surface mining, and underground storage tanks. In addition, she assists with litigation matters arising from challenges to state permits and enforcement actions. Mrs. Meadows is an active member of Georgia Association of Paralegals (previously serving on the Board of Directors as the Director of Membership), National Federation of Paralegal Associations, Inc., and the American Alliance of Paralegals. She has also been a guest speaker at Emory University and Gwinnett College of Business, speaking to paralegal students about the paralegal profession. Mrs. Meadows holds a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice & Criminology from Ball State University as well as a Paralegal Certificate with Honors from Gwinnett College of Business.

Michael Fielding attended Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama majoring in Marketing. He also attended Georgia Perimeter College (Dunwoody Campus) where he received his Paralegal Certification in 2006. Michael has been a paralegal for three (3) years and has twelve (12) years of corporate sales, settlement, commercial collection related litigation and negotiations experience. Michael has been previously nominated as an Outstanding Young Man in America.

Patty graduated from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida and the National Center for Paralegal Studies (NCPT) in Atlanta, Georgia with Honors from both institutions. She holds a Bachelors degree in International Studies with a Minor in Management and an ABA Paralegal Certificate with specialization in Litigation.

Patty is employed as a senior Paralegal in the Immigration Practice Group of Troutman Sanders LLP, an AmLaw 100 international law firm, in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. She primarily handles business immigration cases for the firm’s multinational corporate clients involving non-immigrant (temporary), immigrant (permanent resident) and U.S. Citizenship (Naturalization) matters. Patty enjoys her job tremendously and absolutely loves being a Paralegal.

Patty is the 2006 LAT/Legal Assistant Today Paralegal of the Year Runner-up Award Winner. She is a national lecturer/speaker and a past instructor (1996-2009) for several local (Atlanta area) and on-line Paralegal programs in the areas of Immigration Law, Law Office Management, Paralegal Ethics, UPL, Resume Writing, Job Search Skills, Introduction to the Paralegal Profession and Westlaw. Additionally, she previously served as GAP’s VP of CLE (1995-1996), Pro-bono Director (1993-1994) and Job Bank/Referral Coordinator (1994-1995).

Amadi Leaks received her Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude from Spelman College with a concentration in Philosophy and Computer Science. Most recently, she worked as a senior Paralegal in the Labor & Employment Practice Group at Seyfarth Shaw LLP. Her practice experience includes Single Plaintiff litigation, Wage-Hour litigation, Complex Discrimination litigation and Commercial litigation matters. Amadi has extensive trial preparation and database management experience. Prior to entering the legal field, Amadi worked in various sectors of the IP & Telecommunications industry. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa Society, and a certified Cisco Network Professional. Amadi joined the GAP board in 2007 where she presently serves as the Website Coordinator.

Barbara Pylant is currently employed as a Senior Paralegal with Comcast Cable Southern Division. Ms. Pylant received a B.A. in Political Science from Louisiana State University in 1990, became a PACE Registered Paralegal in 2009, and brings over 20 years of experience to the paralegal profession. Ms. Pylant’s primary area of law is focused on contract review and negotiation, corporate mergers and acquisitions and commercial real estate. As a member of GAP since 1999, Ms. Pylant previously served on GAP’s Board of Directors as the Membership Inquiries Chair from 2000-2001 and Secretary from 2004-2007. Since 2008, she has served in the capacity of Board Advisor. She has been a former speaker for CSC’s 2001 Merger & Acquisition Seminar, featured in LawCrossing’s article Handling Complex Business Transactions: Paralegals in the Field of Mergers and Acquisitions and been a speaker for Gate City Bar’s 2nd Annual Training Symposium.

Christina is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and received a certificate with honors from the National Center for Paralegal Training. She began her term as President of the Georgia Association of Paralegals (“GAP”) in the summer of 2007. She has served in various positions on the GAP board since 2003. Her legal experience includes real estate litigation, foreclosure and bankruptcy. In 2006 she changed her focus and took as position at the Georgia Law Center for the Homeless where she gained experience with direct client service through outreach to the homeless members of our community. At the law center she focused on public housing, wage claims and identification issues. Most recently, Christina worked as a paralegal at the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation (“AVLF”). At AVLF she served many functions but her primary roles included; coordinating volunteers, screening clients, coordinating various programs with other organizations and managing all of the Foundation’s technology.

Gina Farley obtained her B.S. in Secondary Education at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she was also born and raised. She graduated with Honors from the National Center for Paralegal Training (NCPT), an ABA-approved program, and began her paralegal career in Knoxville, Tennessee, working in the areas of litigation, workers compensation and bankruptcy. In 1996, Gina relocated to Jacksonville, Florida, where she served on the Community Service and Newsletter committees for the Jacksonville Legal Assistants, Inc. (n/k/a Northeast Florida Paralegal Association, Inc.) and attained CLA accreditation. Gina moved to Atlanta in 1998, where she has worked with Miller & Martin LLP and The Weatherly Law Firm. Gina served on the GAP Board of Directors for several years, eventually serving as President in 2006-2007. She assumed the Executive Administrator position in August 2007 and is currently working as an independent contractor.
